Board Game Session Report for November 8, 2002: Tikal, Robo Rally

B20 session. 4-player Tikal, 5-player Robo Rally.

Tikal

Players were Brian, Terry, Rich, myself. New players to the game were. Rich had the first turn.

I'm writing this way after the fact, so I may have some of this wrong. Brain and I were competing for temples way out on the board, while Terry and Rich stayed close to base camp. I missed out on a lot of treasure. That's often been my downfall. I keep trying to secure temples for myself. When will I learn to let other players spend their action points to do that then move in?

Robo Rally

Players were Rich, Dave, Mike, Jeff, myself. New players to the game were: Dave, Mike, Jeff.

I remember Jeff being disappointed towards the start of the game, but eventually lightened up when he saw he wasn't far behind, despite getting shot at repeatedly. This game had slime which did a lot to slow the game down. In the end it was fairly close between a few players, and Rich pulled the correct program for the win.
