brettspielwert session. 4-player Carcassonne.
Players were elipa3, myself, Gridley, pauldickey. elipa3 had the first turn.
I decided to give brettspielwelt.de a try. This is an online German board game server. I noticed it had an English interface, so I was able to pick up a little bit from the instructions. I was still confused, and Ingrida noticed this and helped me out. I ended up playing two games of Carcassonne.
The games themselves went fairly quickly. The hard part was getting used to the interface and not inadvertently clicking to place a tile during the turn as Gridley once did.
We had an engaging battle for territory. I thought elipa3 and I were going to share a city with the cathedral, and was helping expand this city because I was getting all the right pieces for it, until I noticed elipa3 had a super-meeple there to my regular meeple. I drew the critical piece to finish the city twice after that and placed them elsewhere.
The second game, I had good control of farms near cities, but Gridley was able to eek out a few more points.
