Beowulf -- The Legend is a somewhat resource management, bidding game with the theme of Beowulf's legendary heroics. the game purports to be co-operative, in which the players help Beowulf on his adventures, but it's really competitive, each player vying for Beowulf's favor.
The game is played on a linear track in which different actions take place. The players follow Beowulf one space at a time, and either bid for priority to get rewards, or replenish needed resources, while collecting gold and fame.
The game has high production values, with a miniature Beowulf figure, thick cardboard tokens, a board folded into three parts, and beautiful art work.
