Medici is a bidding game.
Players start with a score and bid it for cards that come up.
A player gets the deck and flips over one through three cards for players to bid on. The player flipping the cards gets the last bid then passes the deck to the next player.
There are five resources that players can accumulate, valued from zero through five, plus a straight out card word ten. These values count as a rank at the end of each round which is translated into a score based on rank. Also, each resource bumps up that player's resource track. This is also ranked for the score.
The winner is the player with the highest score.
The two revisions of this game have slightly different aesthetic problems. The game has high quality production values in either case.
